The promotion of matchdays on social media is something that has become common across all football clubs, from the most professional to the most amateur. The main challenge is to make it memorable and recognisable as part of the club’s culture, without making it feel like just another well-designed image. To address this challenge, two principles were combined to make it much easier to develop a solution capable of overcoming it. On the one hand, each weekly piece would be an integral part of a larger whole, always making the most of the elements that represent the club’s unique culture. On the other, the creation of an almost secret narrative that, with each matchday, added another piece to the puzzle and allowed the most attentive fans to gradually uncover the final result. At the end of the first half of the season, the “big picture” was revealed. This added a very relevant layer of interest to these pieces among the fans and ensured that the effort behind the collection extended its lifespan, rather than being reduced to a series of disconnected and ephemeral pieces.
